OpenPOWER Academia Member New Horizon College in Bangalore has been collaborating with OpenPOWER and AI related Seminars , Workshops ,Tutorials , Joint projects for last several months. Prof K Gopalakrishnan who is the head for R&D presented the concept to the AgriTech Advisory Board, Indian Technology Congress Association to organize the Smart Village Hackathon with the support of Government of Karnataka and IEEE. This Hackathon was well attended from all over India .. Nearly 47+ teams from various colleges and completely engaged in this new challenge for nearly 8 weeks where they all got the skills from IBM experts Worldwide Romeo Kienzler, Chekuri Choudary etc
