Tagged: ConnectivityTech_S8, LPWAN S8
Google Cloud announced on May 31 that it joined the LoRa Alliance as a Sponsor Member. Earlier this year, Kerlink and Microshare, both active alliance members, formed a partnership built around LoRaWAN IoT development, which is now being extended to Google Cloud.
System Allows Creating ‘Carrier-Grade Solutions at Cloud Scale in Hours Rather than Months’. Kerlink and IoT data-management firm Microshare Inc. today unveiled the first-ever seamless integration of carrier-grade LoRaWAN™ solutions into Google Cloud’s IoT architecture.
The innovative Microshare/Kerlink approach ensures complete security of data flowing from LoRaWAN devices to extended IoT networks. As device-generated data is securely transported, annotated and unpacked in LoRaWAN networks to create context and actionable business insights, ownership rights and origins will be stamped and respected. That means network owners will be compliant with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, the EU regulation that took effect on May 25. Most important, leveraging Microshare’s unique governance, audit and micro-contracting features, users can share data among ecosystem partners securely to produce efficiencies, insights and new revenue streams.
The announcement came at the start of the 10th Open House of the LoRa Alliance™, the global association of companies backing the open LoRaWAN standard for IoT low-power wide-area (LPWA) networks.
