I often get asked, why I do what I do? And the answer is quite simple, what we are doing with AeroTruck™ is going to have a BIG IMPACT. We are going to do that by answering the needs of the worlds’ fastest growing large economy. We are going to save fuel, reduce CO2 emissions and generate high-quality jobs.
Pretty tall claims, you might say from a startup that is barely a couple of years old. So let me put some numbers to it. Our aerokit is currently making e-commerce trucking more fuel efficient, the savings on different routes range from 6-12%. Taking a typical intercity e-commerce truck that does about 16,000-20,000 km in a month and fuel efficiency data from our testing, we have seen a saving of 3,000-4,000 litres of diesel per year per truck. Let’s be conservative and take the lower number of 3,000 litres. Now imagine if we are able to execute our plan of installing the AeroTruck™ kit on a fleet of 15,000 such trucks. What will be our products’ IMPACT on fuel saving and CO2 emission reduction? How would it compare with FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid & Electric Vehicles) India Scheme?
