IoT systems remain complex to develop, challenging to scale and extremely difficult to secure. This month’s meetup will focus on how two open standards (Decentralized Identifiers & Verifiable Claims) that are being developed under the W3C can help build a more secure, reliable and Interoperable Internet of Things. The talk will also include real examples of Ockam’s implementation of these open standards.

Mrinal Wadhwa is CTO at Ockam https://ockam.io which is an open source platform that simplifies the infrastructure needed to create highly trustworthy IoT solutions that are reliable in mission critical scenarios. Before co-founding Ockam, Mrinal was CTO of Fybr where he led the architecture of Smart City IoT systems that deployed in major cities like Washington DC and Montreal. He is passionate about Distributed Systems and Programming Languages.
