If you’re interested in local government, public sector innovation or the future of the internet, join us and our colleagues from Demos Helsinki and NGI Forward for an interactive webinar that explores both, big ideas and real-world case studies.
Maria Malho (M.Soc.Sc.) works with the themes of urbanisation and city development in Demos Helsinki’s Urban Transformations team.
Her core competences include research on transformations in global power structures; cities as political actors; and the future of security and new security actors.
Maria has led and worked in research and consulting projects focusing on the themes of people-centred Nordic cities, future of the Nordic welfare state, national foresight systems, and the future use of outer space.
She is also a lecturer on Futures Studies in Aalto University and Helsinki Summer University, and has previously worked with defence affairs, in global supply chain management and in the banking sector.
Veera Vihula (M.Soc.Sci.) is a Development Consultant at the City of Espoo’s ‘City as a Service’ Development Unit.
Veera leads a City as a Service project that develops new service models and platforms using innovative procurement.
Having a background in 6Aika open innovation platform projects and developing Espoo’s Service Centre concept, Veera has expertise in multi-organizational collaboration in service production, customer service and open participation.
