Cyber security in FinTech is a growing concern, with no markets more directly impacted by its rise than banks, payments and Blockchain. Data from banks and other financial organisations is a premium target for hackers, offering clear incentives for their malicious attacks.
The event aims to make 15 Hong Kong Fintech products secure within 24 hours. White hat hackers from Entersoft, PwC and other certified white hat hackers will be at the event.
Why do FinTechs shy away from Cyber Security ?
- Lack of budget for Application Security.
- Lack of time for security.
- Lack of awareness about the need for security.
The objective of the Hackfest is to help early stage FinTech companies get the security of their applications in place, create awareness about the importance of Application security, and demonstrate Australian capabilities in cybersecurity. White Hats: Apply here
