A smart home employs multiple devices for different objectives. There are surveillance cameras, lock and security systems, fire alarms, heating and cooling devices, light controlling systems, and entertainment systems. All these devices and systems are built on different internal frameworks. Hence, an external device is required to coalesce these various entities on a single platform to integrate their individual features in a structured manner. A homebot, like a human brain, collects the data generated in all the devices, via a local IoT network, seamlessly connects them, and applies AI algorithms to present the data in a user-oriented manner.
Homebots can act as parent bots and put service bots to tasks. By building a hierarchical system, they set up a service ecosystem in the house.
