Optimization for peak and swarm lines
Screaming, tired children aside…the biggest problem with theme parks? Crowds. And the biggest problem with crowds? Lines. Everywhere. And that translates to sweaty, impatient people and lots of valuable time spent standing in a queue. But the folks at Universal Orlando believe they have come up with solutions. And I think they are definitely onto something
In my experience, it’s very well thought out and worked as billed. “It’s really exciting technology,” says Kristin Ong, vice president of marketing and experience transformation at Universal. “You use this to tap to pay and play, wait in line for you, or get in and out of a locker. You take it to the attraction you want, tap in to get a return time that shows up on its screen on your wrist. When your return time arrives, it vibrates and buzzes so you don’t have to keep an eye on the clock. Then you go to the ride, tap in and you’ll be greeted by name.
